On the Park there is a separate toilet/shower block with hot and cold water, a washing-up room with hot and cold water, chemical disposal, coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer and a waste recycling area. The Park is beautifully landscaped and has picnic tables scattered around. Barbeques are allowed subject to prior permission but must not be placed
directly on to the grass. |
Sparkford Village is the home of the famous Haynes International Motor Museum which holds numerous car meetings during the year. Nearby is the Royal Naval Air Station at Yeovilton which hosts an annual Air Show in July and other events. The Fleet Air Arm Museum is on the same complex. Sparkford is close to the Dorset border and the ancient market town of Sherborne with its Castle and Abbey.
The Park is midway along the Leland Trail with the Camelot Hill Fort (King Arthur’s stronghold) at South Cadbury close by. The local area is known as the Blackmoor Vale and Camelot Country with charming Saxon towns. Wincanton is the home of the unique Cunning Artificer’s Discworld Emporium. Stonehenge, Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, Wells Cathedral, Clarks Village and the Dorset Heritage Coastline are all within easy driving distance. |

We have a fully-equipped Black Forest built Pine Lodge Holiday Home fully adapted for wheelchair users and accessed by ramps. This accommodation sleeps up to five people. Southfork Caravan Park, graded excellent by the
the English Tourist Board is a small, peaceful immaculate maintained
Park. Situated between the historic villages of Martock and south
Petherton and set in open countryside near the River Parrett.
The site is level and part-sheltered by
trees and comprises 30 touring pitches 20 of which have electric
hook-up points.
Facilities Include: Clean modern shower and toilet
block, heated all year round, with free hot water to showers
and basins, hair dryers and shaver points (Southfork have attained
the AAs Award for Excellence for their sanitation facilities).
Laundry room with washing machine, dries and Ironing facilities
and separate clothes-washing and dishwashing sinks, Chemical
disposal point, Play area, Dog walk

For cyclists and walkers there are cycle routes through
quiet lanes and rolling hills, as well as numerous walks with
some 1,300 miles of rights of way), including
The Leland Trail from King Alfreds Tower to Ham Hill.
The Liberty Trail from Ham Hill to Lyme Regis.
The River Parrett Trail tracing its source to mouth.
