National Seal Sanctuary

Welcome to the National Seal Sanctuary, set in the picturesque Helford Estuary, by the beautiful village of Gweek, in Cornwall.The Sanctuary has Nursery pools, Convalescence, and Resident pools, and a specially designed Hospital. The hospital over the years has been extended to include isolation pools, as well as treatment and preparation areas.

Poldark Mine

Poldark is once again the scene of activity with craft workshops run by local crafts people including antique restorers, candle makers, chandelier repairers, pottery makers and wood turners. Poldark is by far Cornwall's most popular mining heritage site. An independent site Poldark receives no public funding support but is assisted by volunteers including Cornwall Mine Rescue Organization

Sennen Cove lies just one mile northeast of Land`s End , at the southwestern tip of Cornwall. Sheltered by the mighty headland of Pedn-men-du , the Cove is tucked into the southeast corner of Whitesand Bay , with Sennen Cove Beach and Gwenver Beach to the northeast.

Lappa Valley Steam Railway

The Lappa Valley Steam Railway runs on one of the oldest railway trackbeds in Cornwall. Opened in 1849 as a mineral line from Newquay to East Wheal Rose, it later became part of the Great Western Railway's Newquay to Chacewater branch line. This was closed in 1963, and in 1974 Eric Booth, the founder of Lappa Valley, reopened part of the line
as a narrow-gauge railway.

RNAS Culdrose , Nr Helston, Cornwall
Culdrose covers over 1500 acres (including the satellite airfield Predannack on the Lizard Peninsula) and houses in excess of 3000 service personnel. It is the largest single employer in Cornwall!

RNAS Culdrose's principal role is to support the Anti-Submarine Warfare and Airborne Early Warning helicopter squadrons. It provides 365 days-a-year military and civilian search and rescue for the whole South West of England. Culdrose includes a public viewing enclosure, shop and café.

Blue Reef Aquarium - Newquay - Situated on Towan Beach in the centre of Newquay, opposite the famous island, the Blue Reef Aquarium is a stunning visit.

Be amazed by the local marine species from the Cornish coast to hundreds of tropical species in the gigantic ocean display complete with underwater tunnel.
