Places to Visit

The Commando Monument
at Spean Bridge Nr Fort William
Is perhaps one of the saddest and most inspiring settings I have ever visited, The Monument dedicated to all those gallant men who trained
in this rugged area overlooks the awe inspiring Ben Nevis Range

Spean Bridge: Not far from the Commando Monument you will find the delightful small town of Spean Bridge, here you can visit SPEAN BRIDGE MILL who have a vast selection of Scottish gifts as well as The Spirit of Scotland Whisky Shop, a must for any one who enjoys a wee dram, which are available for you to sample, The mill also has a fascinating area showing the weaving of tartan as well as clan certificates that show your clan history and tartan.

Fort William: Strolling along main street browsing the shops does nothing to prevent the shock that awaits you. this busy little shopping precinct will endear you for sometime as you browse, but just by turning either left or right and walking some 20 yards or so brings upon you a startling landscape as seen in the following photographs.

Loch Linnhe: This was our first surprise, and was so unexpected, for
quite some time I was stood rigid not believing what I saw. Loch Linne
in all its glory. after taking a stroll along the shore we halted at the ferry landing for coffee, and it was then we realised we had made our biggest blunder in not coming here earlier, (this was our last day in Scotland)
For sometime we had deliberated on not being able to visit Tobomory,
we had deemed it to far, and here we were sitting and sipping coffee looking at a sign that advertises trips to.............Tobermory, I guess there's always next time, and there will be a next time.
