Waterfoot
Caravan Park,
in the grounds of a Georgian mansion overlooking Ullswater, is
an ideal location for touring vans, motorhomes and static caravan
holidays. |
The Park enjoys a generally
quiet family orientated character even in the busier holiday
periods, with 24 hour video security. Camping is not allowed.
The award winning site consistently
rated at 5 Stars, by the English Tourism Council, is well laid
out with serviced static caravan pitches and an excellent touring
area with a mix of hardstanding for ease of siting and lawn areas
for awnings or recreation.
The beautiful woodland setting
provides shelter and a managed environment for wildlife, which
resulted in Waterfoot gaining the David Bellamy, British Holiday
and Home Parks Gold Conservation Award every year since 2000.
Our resident wardens, qualified
as Welcome Hosts (the industry standard for good service), are
on site to look after you as our guests and to ensure you enjoy
your stay at Waterfoot, a centre for touring the Lake District.
Many guests return and recommend the Park to friends and family
Arranged to the left of the site
as you enter, the touring areas offer ample room for caravans,
motorhomes and their awnings. They are the perfect setting for
family barbecues or simply relaxing!
Adjacent is the Toilet and Shower
Block which is maintained to the highest standards daily, with
hot showers, washing-up, laundrey areas and baby-changing facilities.
There is a public telephone
for those who decide to leave the 'mobile' at home for a holiday!

Waters Edge lies like a jewel-green ribbon in
the shallow hollow between a tree-lined tributary of the River
Kent and a narrow, but equally lively, brook in Cumbria. Undulating
fields spread into the distance. Single file hard standing pitches
with plenty of grass in between are spread spaciously on either
side of a driveway.
The utilities are
situated in a delightful whitewashed building and they are of
the highest quality with cleanliness being their main priority.
The utilities are heated, roomy and well equipped, with separate
showers and private washing cubicles, and a small laundry with
a washing machine and drier. There is also an ironing board and
iron available upon request. There are plenty of water taps on
site, a covered washing up area for those pots and pans, and
a flushable chemical disposal point.
There's no lack of facilities here, the site
also has a very comfortable lounge bar and a separate pool room,
a TV lounge upstairs, and also a separate solarium. There is
also an outdoor patio area adjacent to the bar for those lazy
summer afternoons or evenings.
A pond makes a restful
spot for a summer picnic, with stone-built barbecue points on
its banks. |
