Scarr Head Caravan & Camping Site - A Featured Site
Scarr Head is a small working farm at the foot of the Coniston mountains and just 2 miles South of Coniston village, where there is a good range of shops, hotels and restaurants

Hawkshead Camp Site - Ambleside
The croft is a small caravan site catering for families, couples and camping club members. Situated on the outskirts of Hawkshead, a picturesque village nestled in the heart of Beatrix Potter country.

Surrounded by the beautiful Lakeland Fells with Esthwaite Water a mere stroll away. These idealic surroundings serve as a backdrop to The Croft.

Low Wray National Trust Campsite - Ambleside
Watch the sun rise over England's largest lake and enjoy the magnificent views across the water to Wansfell Pike and The Fairfield Horseshoe.

Situated on the western shore of Windermere, Low Wray is the perfect base for a whole range of outdoor activities. There are opportunities for gentle walks and great off-road biking from the campsite. The quiet country lanes will also prove attractive to cycle tourers.

Great Langdale National Trust Campsite - Ambleside
Situated at the head of the majestic Great Langdale Valley and guarded by the dominating Langdale Pikes, this campsite is a walker's and climber's dream come true. Fell walking routes include Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, The Langdale Pikes and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike. Raven Crag, Gimmer Crag and White Ghyll are just a few of the numerous rock climbing spots which line the valley floor, providing some of the most spectacular rock routes in the UK

Skelwith Touring Caravan Park - Ambleside

Dandy Dinmont Caravan Park - Carlisle
A quiet Countryside Park situated 1.5 miles N of M6 (J44) on right of Galashiels road at Blackford.

Ideal for overnight halt or as a base for visiting historic Carlisle, Scottish Borders or Roman Hadrian’s Wall. Lake District only a short drive away. Beside the Reivers cycle route.

Graysonside - Cockermouth
Graysonside Caravan and Camping site has excellent views of the Lorton Fells and countryside and has been is listed with both The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravan Club.

Our 6 hardstanding pitches are well spaced and have electric hook-up. The toilet facility includes a free electric shower.

Our Tennis Court is available to site users but must be pre-booked.


Holme Wood Bothy National Trust - Loweswater
For a really serious outdoor experience, Holme Wood Bothy offers extremely basic accommodation in the most spectacular secluded location just a few metres away from the shore of Loweswater. Be assured that your only neighbours will be friendly woodland animals and hooting owls!

The stone bothy was converted from a fish hatchery hut and provides an ideal base from which small groups can walk and fish.Boating is also possible on Loweswater. NT boats only allowed - vouchers allowing two free half days rowing can be issued, (if available) upon collection of keys

Access to Holme Wood Bothy is via Watergate Farm, a few hundred yards west of Loweswater. The nearest town is Cockermouth in the North Lakes Area, which is approximately 20 minutes' drive away and there's Keswick which is 30 minutes drive away. The easiest route from Keswick is to drive through Whinlatter Pass to Lorton, then follow the signposts

Ullswater Marine Park - Ullswater Nr Penrith
The parks natural setting has been used to provide three areas for tents and tourers. One area is set aside for tourers only (this is further divided into an area for awnings and a hard standing area).

A second area is provided for tents only (this is an area further split by natural screening giving several smaller areas rather than one large field).

The third gives friends and families who have a combination of tents and tourers the ability to camp together.

All tents and tourers have access to modern showers and toilet blocks equipped with hair dryers and shaver points. Separate sinks to clean cooking utensils are also provided. Water taps are located at points close to all camping areas; you're on holiday why cart the water a couple of miles.

Flusco Wood Touring Park - Ullswater, Nr Penrith
