Lochview Motel

Situated on the banks of Auchenreoch Loch in the beautiful south west of Scotland, just 36 miles from the English border, the tranquility of the Lochview is within your reach.


The camping & caravan site has superb pitches for your caravan or tents.

We offer fishing access to over 100 acres of well stocked fresh water loch and our private slipway provides access to reputably the best venue in southwest Scotland for water and jet skiing.

The pike caught in this region are smaller today but fish over 20 lbs are still regularily caught. In November 2005 Alan McFayden from Kirkcudbright caught Scotlands biggest catch of recent years in Milton Loch - an impressive 41 lbs.

Auchenreoch Loch also broke its own record last year when one of our residents landed a catch of just over 24lb

Glenkiln Reservoir, halfway between Lochview Motel and Dumfries has bank and boat fishing for rainbow trout and brown trout

With over 100 acres of water Auchenreoch Loch has an excellent reputation with the British & Scottish water sports communities. Golf
Dumfries and Galloway is rich in golf courses and Scottish golfing history. Lochview Motel is situated centrally within the region and over 30 courses are within one hours drive.
