Nettlecombe Farm is nestled in the heart of the rolling South Wight countryside, at the top of a quiet lane around half a mile from the village of Whitwell. It is a working farm that offers luxurious self-catering holiday accommodation.

If you enjoy fishing then you should take advantage of our three lakes that are located a 150 yard stroll down the lane, which is also accessible by car. These man made but now wholly naturalised lakes cover an area of 1.5 acres and are well-stocked with carp, roach and tench of various sizes. The largest recorded fish caught from these lakes to date was a 20lb carp caught by a 12 year old boy.

SOUTH WEST'S FINEST FISHING: Fishing on site includes the famous Valley Lake with Bream, Carp, Tench, Roach, Chub and Perch. Many are of specimen size and 40lbs day catches are common. When your float goes down you never know what you may catch. The lake is very heavily stocked and many anglers fish this lake as their main venue.

There are no day tickets on these lakes - fishing is exclusively for residents.

The River Tone and Taunton, Bridgwater Canal are about 20 minutes drive and offer 14 miles of excellent fishing. There are some beautiful river and canal settings and it is possible to park and fish both river and canal within a short walk of each other.

Mill Park:
An acre and a quarter attractive fishing lake which provides pleasure for campers and visitors

Yeatheridge:
They have two lakes, deep and full of fish - quiet with both sunny and shady banks

The Farm's coarse fishery consists of three spring fed lakes known as Willow Pool, Kingfisher Pond and Heron Pond. The fishery's six acres are set in an idyllic South Devon valley near Exeter. All the waters have regularly produced good catches since they were opened to day ticket anglers in the early 1980s. The fishery is a best kept fishery award winner. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our fishery.

Wing Hall
Two course fishing lakes available on site, nearby you will find Rutland Water and Eyebrook Fishing reservoirs that both offer trout fishing.

The lakes are well stocked with carp, tench, roach and crucian carp. To date, the largest fish caught in the lakes is a 27lbs carp, although this is a rumor and we have no official verification of this. On an average day, 15lbs carp are not uncommon.

Todber Manor Fisheries
Todber Manor Fishery consists of 6 lakes and a well stocked tackle shop situated in North Dorset.

The two original White Post lakes are made up of mainly Carp between 3lb and 8lb with good size Roach and Tench. Wadmill lake has a big head Carp to 28lb, and Bream to 10lb, Pike to 22lb, Perch 3lb. Park lake is a snake style lake, a real mixed fishery with Carp to 12lb, Tench, ide, Barbel, Roach, Skimmers and Bream. Paddock Specimen lake holds Carp 30lb and Catfish over 40lb. Big Hayes Specimen lake stocked with 700 Carp 10lb-35lb

Six times Drennan cup winner Terry Lampard took the big cat from the Paddock lake at just over 80lb

Brokerswood Country Park
Brokerswood Country Park offers relaxed camping in the best possible setting - on the edge of a glorious woodland. Guests enjoy immaculate modern facilites, generous sized pitches and have full access to all the beauty and adventure of the Country Park.

The fishing lake is not only a lovely place to walk, it also offers keen fishermen an opportunity to catch carp, roach, perch and tench. The lake is also an excellent place for children to learn about wildlife - and to feed the ducks! The lake contains a good head of common carp and some mirror carp as well as plenty of roach and perch. Carp average weight is 24lbs. The record fish catch is 26lbs.

Grove Farm Meadow
Grove Farm Meadow is located on the Christchurch bank of the famous Dorset Stour River. Fish caught on their stretch include specimen Barbel up to 16 lb, good size Chub up to 7lb, Bream, large Pike and Perch, and superb condition Roach up to 2lb. The occasional Carp also put in an appearance on this lovely stretch.

Cooking Farm Fisheries
Coking Farm Fishery is a well-managed course fishery in North Dorset with the lakes together totalling over 20 acres. The fishery consists of 5 well-stocked lakes catering for everyone from the serious match angler to the weeklong session carp angler wishing to pit his wits against the wariest of carp.

Hordle Lakes
Hordle lakes is an attractive and well established Carp fishery which offers superb fishing all year round. Set in approximately eleven acres, the fishery comprises 7 individual, spring fed lakes with easy to fish from swims.

Ringwood Fishing
The club has access to almost 13 miles of the legendary Hampshire Avon including The Royalty, Severals and Ibsley, plus more than 20 miles of the Dorset Stour including the outstanding Throop fishery, plus a choice of magnificent still waters including one of the top tench venues in the country.

Thorncross Farm 2.5 acre day ticket Coarse fishery that is open to the experienced angler who will be expected to be fully equipped and abide by the fishery rules.  3 pubs within two miles, golf course 7 miles, horse riding 9 miles, sandy beaches 2 – 5miles, Sea fishing ½ mile.

Fishery Creek Park is essentially a peaceful place in tranquil surroundings. Fishing is permitted from the banks of the creek with Plenty of opportunities for boat and shore fishing.

Cosgrove Leisure Park:
Twelve lakes, two rivers and the Grand Union canal next door, Even a tackle shop on site located in the Lakeside Store.

Lyons Gate:
Four lakes are situated in the centre of the park; each lake is well stocked with a range of fish. 6 species of Carp

Brompton Caravan Park:
This quiet family run park is situated in a lovely natural setting on the banks of the river Swale, in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside only two miles from Richmond - the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

Swaleview Caravan Park:
Swaleview is situated on the banks of the River Swale, just two and a half miles from the historic market town of Richmond.

Brickyard Farm Lakes:
Small friendly park with only 35 pitches, all of which have good views of the water, the furthest pitch from a fishing platform is approx 50 mtrs

Westerley Lakes:
Situated 7 miles from the historic city of York, this family run adults only caravan and camping park provides a peaceful holiday location with a lakeside setting and coarse fishing. Within walking distance of the village pub and shops of Wheldrake, and with the Yorkshire Air Museum at nearby Elvington, Westerly Lake is the ideal place to spend your holiday, or to use as a base for exploring the East Coast and North Yorkshire Moors

Bolton Abbey, Skipton North Yorkshire
Bolton Abbey offers the game angler one of the finest stretches on the River Wharfe some 5 miles of prime fishing on both banks. All the beats will suite the dry, nymph and spider fisherman who wants the opportunity to fish for wild and stocked Brown Trout and Grayling.

Moorside:
Private lake is well stocked with a variety of coarse fish, including specimen Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream and Tench

Castle Howard:
The largest recorded fish out of the Castle Howard Great Lake are:Bream 12lb 8oz, Tench 10lbs, Roach Over 3lb, Perch Over 4lb, Pike 43lb 2oz (caught in Feb 1989, it still holds the Yorkshire record)

Riverside:
Fishing and boating on the River Nidd which flows through the site

Lakeside:
The fishery is six acres in size. It is a worked out gravel pit and as such has a wealth of underwater contours for both the fish and the angler to explore.

Otterington:
Coarse fishing is available (day/weekly tickets) within 200 metres on their own spring fed, one acre lake, stocked with Roach, Perch, Rudd, Crucian Carp, Tench and Bream.

Bronte: Two acre lake with excellent on-site fishing
