Situated in a pleasantly wooded site. Being close to Sheringham & Cromer it is also within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads, Norwich and the North Norfolk coast.
Adjacent to the park is situated a 6 rink indoor bowling green with bar and 3 table snooker room. Meals are served in the function room.
A new leisure complex houses an excellent 25 metre indoor swimming pool, an exercise room, a solarium, sunbeds, a spa pool and showers, etc. There is also a 3 x 10 metre paddling pool for small children. New development for 1999 season of 18 new static plots.
There are 225 touring pitches
(216 with electric hook-ups)

We regret that tents are not permitted and do not have static caravans for rent.

Pinewood Park Indoor Bowls Club, also adjacent to the park, is open from 10-4 Mon-Fri and offers a 6 rink indoor bowling green and snooker room.

Walks One of the main advantages of staying at Woodlands is the accessibility of so many scenic walks. Right on the doorstep is Sheringham Park (National Trust) with hundreds of acres of woods and parkland. A short drive takes you to Felbrigg and Blickling Hall (National Trust), both of which have extensive parkland open to the public.
You can also walk to the beach and only cross one road. Other walks include Pedders Way, Marriotts Way, Weavers Way, the Norfolk Coast Path and the Bure Valley walk.
Beaches Woodlands is a short distance from the seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer. The rest of the North Norfolk coastline is also within easy reach such as Wells-next-the Sea and Holkham beach with its miles of golden sand, creeks, dunes and pine woods.
Historic Halls/Estates As mentioned above, the National Trust properties of Sheringham Park, Blickling and Felbrigg Hall are close by. You can also enjoy a trip to Holkham Hall, home of the Earl of Leicester, Mannington Hall or Sandringham, the Norfolk residence of HM the Queen.

Welton Manor Golf Centre is set in 120 acres, a successful farm diversification by entrepreneurial local farmer Charles Ottewell and his sons Andrew & David. Moat Farm Touring Caravan Park & Campsite is primarily a Touring Caravan Park but we are very happy to accommodate Motor Caravans and Traditional Canvas Campers (Tents), but tents can only be accepted when space allocation allows.
Our aims and goals for Moat Farm Touring Caravan Park & Campsite are quite simple, to provide you 'our paying guests' with the perfect 'quiet, get away from it all' type of location.
Moat Farm Touring Caravan Park & Campsite is in an ideal location, as long as you are looking for a completely restful holiday or break, there are no noisy roads close by, no bright buzzing arcades or fun parks and best of all the only distraction around you is the sight and sound of cows grazing or maybe the sound of our local farmers going about their daily tasks in the adjacent fields.
We are perfectly located for the local attraction of Thetford Forest with it's many acres of woodland walks, Go-Ape the aerial assault course and of course High Lodge visitors centre where you can hire cycles for all the family from BikeArt (bike-art.com), and where you can go to see some spectacular open air concerts.

Our site has been in existence since 2000 but has recently undergone a change of ownership when my wife and I bought Moat Farm to enjoy the fruits of our labours and ease ourselves into semi-retirement, little did we know that as owners of a small and lively campsite retirement would be the last thing on our minds. Our move to Norfolk in December 2001 has been a mixture of sheer delight and hard work, in our opinion our surroundings are 'to die for' our campers are our new neighbours and some of which have become close friends.
