Our location off the scenic highway through Smugglers’ Notch provides an ideal base camp for outdoor recreation. We can direct you to great hiking in the area, arrange for guided canoe trips, put you in touch with fishing outfitters, and you can rent bicycles in the village.

Green Mountain Family Campground is a private family campground located off of Route 116 in Bristol, Vermont.We are three miles north of Middlebury, nestled against the Green Mountain National Forest. Our sites are spacious and most are exceptionally private.

We maintain quiet hours and pride ourselves on our very peaceful environment.

Rest n' Nest Campground - East Thetford, VT
REST N’ NEST lies in the remarkable quiet of a 20-acre forest. A central location with all major highways leading directly to the campground makes Rest N’ Nest an ideal base for all your excursions, with most New Hampshire & Vermont attractions being no more than 1 hour away.

Carved out of the woods, the campground better known as, “THE CAMPGROUND WITH ELBOW ROOM”, pleads guilty of extra large sites, quiet and relaxing atmosphere for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Green Mountains
Camping on the Battenkill - Arlington, VT
Within the 35 acres of the campground there are 48 sites in hardwoods, 37 in a partially wooded area, and 18 in our meadow. Our generously spaced graveled sites are suited to tent camping as well as RV camping. Tents sites are available with no hook-ups or with water and electric. Trailers sites are available with water and electric or with water, electric and sewer hookups. Some sites, located on the river, are considered prime sites and are booked quickly for the summer months for week long stays. Group camping is available in our field area. No motor cycles, mini bikes or mopeds are allowed beyond the office.

The Battenkill is known as one of the best trout streams in the East. The challenge is in landing the native trout that reside in the stream. Swimming in the campground is done at the natural swimming hole in the Battenkill where the water is clear and refreshing. For little children who need a quiet area for swimming, there is supervised swimming in the local recreational park, located 1000 feet from the campground. Many campers enjoy bringing their own tubes or canoes and floating down the river. Children and adults alike enjoy our open field for playing ball games, swinging on the swings, or digging in the sand pile.

Nearby attractions include the Connecticut River for swimming, boating, canoeing and fishing. There are several marinas in the area for boat launching. Santa's Land is just up the road on US Route 5 offering family fun for young and old. Short drive to shopping and restaurants. There are several golf courses in the area as well as tennis courts.

Kenolie Villiage Campground - Newfane, VT
Kenolie Village Campground is a family camping area. The campground is owned and operated by family members.

We have different activities each weekend. Some of the activities are Bingo, BBQs and Dances. Some of the campers wanted activities during the week so we have game night, exercise groups and pot lucks. There are also many activities that go on in the town of Newfane and in nearby towns. Newfane has a flea market on Sundays and other towns regularly have church suppers.

Kenolie Village offers river swimming within walking distance on the West River. Many of our campers swim, canoe, raft, fish, and play there too. There is a deep area for swimmers and a more shallow area for small children.
